25 wrz 2024 · It doesn't matter what game it is, the videos are not showing in the Steam client. I have updated my video drivers. I have turned off Steam > Settings > Interface > Enable smooth scrolling / Enable GPU accelerated rendering / Enable hardware video decoding. I have deleted the Steam/appcache.
7 lut 2018 · For a couple of days Steam just won't play videos in the store. I've updated GPU drivers, have windows up to date and have restarted PC to no avail. What happens is that when I enter a game page in the store, everything shows normally but the media player will be black and selecting first video.
2 lut 2019 · Currently it seems to be still working, and support at this point only means, that new features are not necessarily made compatible with XP and Vista. If you want to be a bit on the safe side, this guide contains download links to previous Steam versions as well as a way to prevent updates.
2 sty 2019 · A few months ago Valve announced that Windows Vista will not be supported in 2019 and games can no longer be downloaded. As you can see here, it still works.
1 maj 2019 · It's not very hard, as you only need to download THIS archive, and then extract it, and you will have a working steam. On Windows XP at least you'll need to use ProxHTTPSProxy or a similar solution if you want to get game pictures/icons to load.
On vista I have the archived version of steam that is compatible. When I try to run it I'm getting gldriverquery64.exe stopped working. I've read up and it sounds like I need a C++ redistributable installed. I've installed several different versions but still no luck.
Update OS & Drivers. Make sure your operating system and all hardware drivers are up to date. For Windows: Start → search "update" → run "Check for Updates" For Mac: drivers cannot be updated separately; only the operating system can be updated. Investigate Anti-Virus Software.
