I checked four verses: 2 Chron 7:3; Psalm 5:7, 6:4, and 13:5. All four instances of "steadfast love" were translations of the word "chesed" (H2617). It does appear that the ESV translates H2617 as "steadfast love" at least some of the time.
Transliteration: Chesed. Pronunciation: kheh'-sed. Phonetic Spelling: (kheh'-sed) Definition: Lovingkindness, mercy, steadfast love, loyalty, faithfulness. Meaning: Chesed. Word Origin: Derived from the root חָסַד (chasad), which conveys the idea of kindness or love.
A word variously translated as "mercy," "lovingkindess," "steadfast love," "compassion," and even "goodness" is the Hebrew word chesed (the LXX usually uses ελεος ("mercy"), and the Latin uses misericordia).
Psalm 136:23 & 24 use the same Hebrew word that is sometimes translated as "grace". The ESV uses "steadfast love" in those verses: It is he who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever; and rescued us from our foes, for his steadfast love endures forever;
