Together with his faithfulness, God’s steadfast love is probably the most celebrated of God’s characteristics in the Old Testament. First and foremost it represents God’s ongoing love and kindness to his covenant people.

16 paź 2013 · Steadfast love – Once again we discover David’s declaration that hesed is the fundamental description of what it means to have a relationship with YHWH. The ESV uses “steadfast love.” NASB attempts “lovingkindness.” NKJV and NIV make other efforts to communicate hesed in English. But they all fail. Hesed is a uniquely Hebrew word.
