I recently passed my S66 on 12/24 and thought I'd give this subreddit some advice that helped me like how I did for the S7 subreddit. Some general info: I used STC (I found this to be good for preparing me for the exam), and studied for 10 days. My scores consisted of high 70s to mid 80s.
Just came home from my Series 66 exam. I only used STC and nothing else. I read the book, did the exams, and used the book to brush up on any topics I felt weak in.
Complete explanations provided. First attempt. ‒ Select “Show Explanations” ‒ Complete all exams with explanations shown before beginning the second attempt. Second attempt. ‒ Turn “Show Explanations” Off ‒ Scores of 80% or higher indicate adequate retention. Create Custom Exams.
STC may seem simple but I think it captured the test questions and material much more than pass perfect. The only thing STC does with their questions is they format a lot of them with correct multiple choice options - there were very few on those on the exam.
