1 lis 2009 · Status.msi - Installer - posted in Windows Vista and Windows 7: Greetings, this is my first time here. This problem stumps me, quite badly. This is on a Compaq 6715b laptop runnign vista, with 2 gigs of ram.
15 lip 2009 · after boot up and opening internet explorer, or any other program, a pop up window comes up and says to insert cd or disc Status to continue. Exit this window, but another one opens up and its trying to check Status.
18 lip 2009 · Since i downloaded this updates i can see continuous 'status' problem. The pop up keeps asking me to find an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package. There is also no cancel button so that i can terminate the box and move ahead. The only way is to provide alternate folder path which i dont know.
28 lip 2009 · There is a file in the installation package that the installer still needs. Locate that Status file and fill in the path to its location in the popup with the browse button. If it isn't in the download from HP then the file on the XP disc might be good enough. Ardneh. Thanks for that. I will try tonight. Will let you know.
1 sty 2011 · The error comes up that windows installer is unable to find a certain such file (status.msi). The program defaults to this address on the comuputer- C:\Users\Jaxin\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS717E\setup\Status\ but this folder doesn't exist.
