Statistics is a collection of real tools- the key is to understand which one to use when and why. Students tell us that after Stat 100 they: Read the newspaper in a new way, without their eyes glazing over when they see quantitative information.
See the University Student Code of Conduct. The Stat 100 Team has a group of highly trained students who know every trick in the book for catching cheaters. We hand grade each of the exams and have multiple versions of all exams. They may look identical at first glance, but they are not.

All homework, surveys and bonus work are submitted and graded immediately on Lon Capa.
STAT 100 Statistics credit: 3 Hours. First course in probability and statistics at a precalculus level; emphasizes basic concepts, including descriptive statistics, elementary probability, estimation, and hypothesis testing in both nonparametric and normal models.
This class starts with a quick review of Stat 100 material and then moves on to talk about things like hypothesis testing, power, multiple regression, ANOVA, etc. Like Stat 100, it uses a partially completed notebook that you fill in during class.
