3 paź 2022 · France. Between 2000 and 2021, the share of 25-34 year-olds with tertiary attainment in France increased by 19 percentage points (from 31% in 2000 to 50% in 2021). France is one of the 14 OECD countries where at least half of 25-34 year-olds have a tertiary education.
In 2019, national educational spending (dépense intérieure d’éducation, or DIE) was €160.5 billion, accounting for 6.6% of France’s GDP. This proportion was slightly higher than the OECD average in 2017. Average spending per student has increased significantly since 1980, rising to €8,920 in 2019 figure 1.

6 maj 2024 · In 2017, the French education system provided schooling for around 15.2 million pupils, students and apprentices (representing about 23% of the national population). In 2022, domestic expenditure on education (DEE) reached 180 billion euros, or 6.8% of national wealth (GDP).
