The Missouri series LLC law was enacted in 2013. This structure provides tremendous flexibility and significant asset protection at a fraction of the cost of traditional asset protection strategies. However, the Missouri series LLC law is only one of about ten such state laws in the country.
In every respect, the Wyoming statutes treat an LLC series as a separate person from any other series and from the master entity. See generally id. at 17-21-211. Other states that have enacted series legislation do not treat series as separate entities and do not allow series to enter into contracts or sue or be sued.
