The Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) Card identifies a person as eligible to possess/acquire firearms and firearm ammunition as part of a public safety initiative in the State of Illinois.
Note: Any person who is prohibited from acquiring or possessing fi rearms or fi rearm ammunition by any Illinois state statute or by federal law is ineligible for a FOID card. Please allow 30 days for processing and delivery of your Firearm Owner’s Identifi cation Card.
