Delosperma floribunda, commonly known as ice plant, is a succulent, mat-forming perennial that typically grows to only 4” tall but spreads to 10-18” wide. It is native to South Africa.
Common Name: Ice Plant. D. 'Starburst' tends to have more of a clumping habit than D. cooperi, making it useful for edging or in the rock garden. Its fleshy, green, finely textured leaves are topped from early through late summer with hundreds of perfectly round, 2" wide, lilac-purple flowers with bright white eyes.
