Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge is an 8,040-acre (32.5 km) [2] bottomland hardwood forest in western Kentucky near Benton. The refuge lies along the East Fork of the Clarks River and is the seasonal home to more than 200 species of migratory birds.
Hunters will find Marrowbone State Forest a great place to hunt a variety of big and small game. The area is rich with deer, turkey, squirrel, and furbearer populations and is open to hunting of these species during their statewide-regulated seasons.
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a park located just southwest of Corbin, Kentucky, and is contained entirely within the Daniel Boone National Forest. [3] . The park encompasses 1,657 acres (671 ha) and is named for its major feature, 68-foot-tall (21 m) Cumberland Falls.
