25 maj 2006 · One of the issues that adds to misinformation are those that complain about a problem when they got replica wheels that are cheap cast wheels, instead of forged or semi-solid forged (SSF is what SSR uses). Can you confirm the problem with an authentic SSR wheel?
12 wrz 2007 · SSR wheels are comparable to the likes of Works and Rays wheels in Japan. They have been famous for wheels like the SSR type C, Professors and even VIP wheels. They went bust a while ago in Japan but have since been bought over by Tanabe so alls good!
The wheels provide all the contact patch I would need in my class. I'm more of the driver skill area than pointlessly upgrading my car. I just choose to pay attention to my aesthetics while being on track.
From what I gather only the GT3s were soft and had issues. Other wheels from then on are excellent; lightweight and strong. I had GT2-Hs on the E46 M3 and they were fantastic wheels. Got a flat with them once and wasn't able to pull over right away (163 right before downtown SD). I had to drive 60ish for a couple minutes on the flat tire.
2 mar 2024 · The car came with two sets of wheels, aftermarket Budnik and a set of chrome OEM's. My initial thought was to put the chromes back on and figure out what to do with the custom wheels, but I'm having a hard time deciding.

5 kwi 2017 · i have a set of the SSR Stars for the street. the rears are about what i expected a china built cast wheel to weigh. 15x8 weighs in at just under 16lbs. the acorn lugs keep me from putting sticky tires on them though. great for what i need them for. the fronts are the 17x4.5. they're STUPID heavy at just over 20lbs each.
