21 mar 2013 · lhd.CreatedDate is a DateTime field and is non-nullable. I want to display an empty string if the field is the minimum date (1/1/1900), but my CASE statement doesn't work; CreatedDate displays 1900-01-01 00:00:00.000 in my query when that value is in the database. I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2.
13 cze 2015 · It is unboxed with various methods which all allow you to handle the case that the value is unknown in a graceful manner. get() unboxes the LocalDate, but throws a NoSuchElementException in case you have none. Unfortunately it is an unchecked exception, just like the dreaded NullPointerException.
17 lis 2015 · You can't get an empty string because you're returning the DATE value type from ISNULL. Per the docs, ISNULL. Returns the same type as check_expression. If a literal NULL is provided as check_expression, returns the datatype of the replacement_value.

If you need it to be of the date data-type, there is a way around it, and this is to nest a REPLACE within an ISNULL, the following worked for me: Select ISNULL( REPLACE( [DATE COLUMN NAME], '1900-01-01', '' ), '') AS [MeaningfulAlias]
19 sty 2001 · Since, we cannot insert a blank value instead of 1900…, we will use a workaround so we can at least display a blank value instead of a value that shows the date from another era.
