21 mar 2013 · lhd.CreatedDate is a DateTime field and is non-nullable. I want to display an empty string if the field is the minimum date (1/1/1900), but my CASE statement doesn't work; CreatedDate displays 1900-01-01 00:00:00.000 in my query when that value is in the database. I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2.
19 sty 2001 · Since, we cannot insert a blank value instead of 1900…, we will use a workaround so we can at least display a blank value instead of a value that shows the date from another era. We will write a simple query, which will convert 1900-01-01 into a meaningful value.
17 lis 2015 · You can't get an empty string because you're returning the DATE value type from ISNULL. Per the docs, ISNULL. Returns the same type as check_expression. If a literal NULL is provided as check_expression, returns the datatype of the replacement_value.
The date function DATEDIFF accepts a date part, start date and end date as date datetime, or valid date string and returns the difference between the dates in units bast on the date part specified. Syntax: DATEDIFF (date part, start date, end date)

24 sty 2013 · If you're just checking for NULL values, you might try ISNULL() and cast the date as a varchar. SELECT ISNULL(CAST(fu.SentOutDate AS VARCHAR(50)), '') AS SendOutDate FROM tablename
