5 sty 2021 · I drained DEF from it last summer and initially put it into Sprinter at about 75% ratio. Sprinter did not object. Lately I added fresh fluid from the pump, where Pilot pumps have high turn around.
19 lip 2023 · Pick up a syphon pump rig at a hardware store and suck the DEF out through the fill pipe. Or syphon manually. 2018 should be covered under Mercedes after-treatment warranty. Some of us HAVE had significant problems with the DEF system after having the recall work done.
If you want the cheapest option then there's Def at the pump you can pre pay for at loves s or other truck stops. Any def is fine. Platinum is supposedly better & prevents crystallization. Go ahead and use the whole jug. Sprinters need to add a couple gallons to reset the sensor. So don't just top it off all the time. Wait until the light comes on.
15 lut 2017 · Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a mixture of urea and water. Basically the same ingredients as urine. But don’t try peeing into the DEF tank to refill it – DEF is a specific proportion (32.5% urea, 67.5% water) and pretty pure. The impurities in your pee would mess up the SCR catalyst.
