5 maj 2011 · CASE 1: Your fuel pressure gauge read 50 PSI or more as the engine cranked. This means that the fuel pump on your 4.3L, 5.0L, or 5.7L is OK and not the cause of your no-start condition. The next step is to observe the fuel pressure gauge's needle (after your helper stopped cranking the engine).
7 lip 2018 · Easy way to tell if the regulator is bad is to pull the vacuum line from it (engine off), if it smells like fuel (or has any fuel in it at all) then the regulator needs replaced. AC Delco 2172251 or or Delphi FP10075 I think are what you want for the 5.7L vortec.
28 cze 2015 · Location. SF Bay Area, CA. 97 SUburban 5.7, 214k miles, running pretty rich (but NO codes), fuel trims are very much positive. LTFT is 20-25% on both banks. Even if I reset the codes it goes back to that almost right away.
22 cze 2015 · The fuel pressure regulator is located on the driver's side of the engine. Disconnect the vacuum line on top of the regulator by firmly pulling it up and off. Figure 1. Pull on vacuum line located on top of the fuel pressure regulator.
