17 mar 2024 · Air in the lines/Circulation Pump. Air bubbles trapped in the circulation lines, also known as an airlock, can prevent the pump from priming and operating effectively. Possible fixes include: Bleeding the lines: Start by turning the hot tub off. Then, open the air relief valve on the pump to release any trapped air.
1. Pump (s) Not Working. If your pumps aren’t working, an air lock is highly likely. Other signs of an air lock are a humming sound, no/low heat and some/all of the jets not working. The best solution is to bleed the pump. Steps for bleeding the pump: Manually turn off the ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) with a flat head screw driver.
If your spa pump does not turn on altogether, this can be caused be either an electrical fault to your entire spa system, or a fault in the pump itself. To diagnose this, first check if the control panel / touch pad on your spa shows lights on it.
19 gru 2018 · When the spa is refilled, some of that air may become trapped and act as a plug that keeps water from moving through the hot tub’s piping. If you turn on your spa, hear the pumps running, but see no water flowing from the jets, the most likely culprit is an airlock.
13 wrz 2021 · For Spas with 2 Pumps, there might be cases where Pump 1 operates properly on low and high speeds but when Pump 2 is pressed, the Jets indicator light turns ON but the actual Pump does not turn ON and you cannot hear any sound that could indicate that the Pump is trying to start.

SPA PUMP TROUBLESHOOTING. Sometimes air can become trapped in the pump while filling the hot tub. You will know this has happened when after filling and starting the spa, the pump does not function. You will hear the pump operating, but no water will be moving.
