5 cze 2003 · I'm replacing the evaporator on a 2008 Honda CRV and need to add 1.3oz of oil to in when installing.. Honda calls for SP-10, which I can't find anywhere to purchase. I have PAG-46 left from another job, and my internet searching says it is the same.
Below is a list of Sanden compressor types and the refrigerant oil that was factory installed in each type. Sanden compressor oil can be purchased from authorized Sanden distributors. Only use Sanden compressor oil. Do not substitute other oil types in Sanden compressors. Sanden sells SP-15 (part #7803-1996) oil through authorized distributors.

A compressor that takes R134a refrigerant can take a mixture of SP-10 and SP-A2 oils, providing the oils are both in good condition (no particles, no humidity, no discolouration). Compressors that take only R1234yf refrigerant can only be used with SP-A2 oil.

Most 1996 and newer A/C systems use R134a refrigerant and require some type of PAG (polyalkylene glycol) oil for the compressor. If the wrong type of compressor oil or the wrong viscosity compressor oil is used, it may damage the compressor.
