I’ve been debating on what LPVO to get for my Block II M4 upper. I have it down to a few options and would like some feed back on the pros and cons for each one. Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6x, Leupold Mk8 CQBSS, or the Nightforce ATACR 1-8x.

I have 2 eotechs on 2 of my rifles and a lpvo on my 3gun setup. My sopmod block 1 has an eotech which is on a colt socom from 2015 with the kac rail. I do not have a setup with an eotech and magnifier and was curious as to what people were running on their sopmod block 2s.
The Block II FSP is a USASOC exclusive almost, and kinda the AFSOC because they generally copy what the Army does. The flat top was still far more issued than the FSP. Both heavy and gov profile barrels were used but the SOCOM profile barrel is the more common.
5 sty 2022 · USSOCOM released a series of improvements to the M4 upper + CQBR/Mod1 programs. The SOPMOD blocks reference the included handguards, optics, lasers, etc which accompanied those improvements. "Block 3" is more like a turn of phrase to include the URGI currently being fielded by USASOC.
3 cze 2021 · Now featuring LPVO’s! The later upgrades into the generation known as Block II was the first the popularized free-floating of the M4’s barrel and all the benefits thereof. The distinctive Daniel Defense Rails, both with front sight posts and low profile gas blocks, in the FDE coloration are the aesthetic of the Block II.
18 lis 2019 · Various LPVO’s were used as well including the Leupold Mk6 1-6 and Vortex Razor HD Gen 2 1-6. Various mounts were used, but one of the more common ones seems to be Geissele’s mount. That being said, pictures have surfaced with all manner of LPVO’s.
