19 mar 2018 · Try resetting the battery charging before buying a new one. If Sony's advice does not work, the following procedure may help. In Device Manager, uninstall the battery control driver. Shut down fully (not hibernate, sleep or fast startup), e.g. shutdown /s /t 0. Remove the battery and unplug the external power supply.
When I turned it on and restarted my computer, replacement battery (#1) started charging immediately. Replacement battery (#2) would not. The message says "0% available, plugged-in, charging"
The reason your computer isn't holding a charge, may be because of a faulty battery. Test to make sure that is in fact your battery and not the charger. The charger is constantly plugged in, but the computer shut off several times because the battery "died". I got a brand new battery, tried a different charger, changed the battery settings, and the problem is getting worse.
