29 lis 2019 · As the name implies, this was made for servicing PS3's in repair shops, and in order to access it you'd need a jig that contains signed code by Sony that will allow you to access FSM. Now with CFW you do not need a jig as you can access FSM very easily but in theory its supposed to be done this way!

10 lis 2009 · I was unable to play Blu-rays and DVDs. The Blu-ray drive is defective, and it needs to be replaced. If the console is under warranty, send it back to Sony and they will repair the console. Otherwise, they will charge you $150 service charge.
Once it boots go to [Network]> [Custom Firmware Tools]> [Service Tools]> [Advanced Service Tools]> [Remarry Bluray Drive] and then it will begin flashing the new drive board with the correct eid_root_key that you backed up from the original board.
