The STR-DG820 is merely an HDMI repeater, so any video content offered is merely passed through, with the audio stream extracted. This also means that if HDMI audio is used, the audio is not passed through to your tv, a definate down-side to this reciever.
26 paź 2008 · I am looking at replacing my STR-DG700 with the DG800, and have a few questions about the HDMI inputs. As your probably aware the DG700 only outputs audio through the first/master HDMI input and not the others, i take it that the DG820 outputs audio through all the HDMI ports?

7 maj 2008 · If you go through the other Sony threads, you will see that Sony amps are very weak and that Sony misleads consumers on their multichannel performance. Sony receivers claimed to be 120 w/ch x 7, when tested, deliver only about 35 w/ch in multichannel mode.
