Updates can be obtained in four ways: Direct download to the PSP over Wi-Fi. This can be performed by choosing "Settings", "Network Update" from the XMB. (with the exception of 3.60, 3.96, 4.20, 4.21, 5.05, 5.55, 5.70, 6.36, and 6.50) Included on the UMD of some games. These games may not run with earlier firmware than the version on their UMD.
