They’ve rolled out the ads now and I can’t watch a show without being shown an ad at least every 5 minutes but sometimes even less. It’s made it completely unwatchable. Feels like I’m being literally bullied into paying more (I won’t be).
It started jumping up to 65 seconds per ad break for me about a week ago on the Xbox version of the Prime Video app. I usually just back out and try again until I can find a 30s or shorter ad to mute.
When Amazon Prime was $79.99 as late as 2017, it offered Prime Videos ad-free, Prime Music basic (on-demand), unlimited music cloud storage, unlimited photo and video cloud storage. It’s now $140, and all of those are gone. Prime Video charges an extra for ad-free. Prime music basic is a radio-like playlist instead of on-demand.
Prime Video now shows me ads for every EVERY video, no skipping, no exceptions. Hit Play, ~40 seconds of unskippable ads start playing. This is probably the worst implementation of ads I've seen among all the streaming services, even worse than the free services.
Technically you can use the Prime Video app without an Amazon Prime subscription. You just can't watch much, if anything, except on a pay-per-view basis. Presumably the Freevee content should still be available in the Prime Video app without a Prime subscription?
Yes that is the “V6 soft bullet gun” or “V6 high rate of fire darts blaster”. It unfortunately does not take dominator mags w/o potentially modding/sanding. Yea the grenade launcher is from Ali express and shoots foam balls.
Amazon to Bring Commercials Into Prime Video. Ad-supported tier will be the default option starting in early 2024. Users who want to continue watching without commercials will have to pay an extra $2.99 per month.
