Social and Cultural Anthropology aims at understanding social and cultural dynamics of societies worldwide. While Anthropology originated historically as the discipline that researched "other cultures" (meaning "non-western cultures") anthropologists today work also within their own societies.
The degree programme is divided into the following sections: a specialisation in basic cultural and social-anthropological theory (Module 1). An analysis of anthropology classics will be performed to view the relationship of these to current anthropological debates, theories, and methods.
