Powerful physical attackers such as Garchomp, Salamence, Mega Charizard X, Mega Lucario, and Mega Kangaskhan can all OHKO Goodra with their respective STAB move, making them great checks.

13 paź 2013 · While Goodra may not be the most offensively potent Pokemon in XY, Goodra has definitely carved itself a niche into the OU metagame, an impressive feat for any Pokémon. That being said, Goodra should always be played to its strengths - tanking hits and dishing out damage.
28 paź 2013 · Goodra has a really good coverage movepool but shame about its base 80 speed. Still, it has some nice defences, and I think in the lower tiers it can really shine as a bulky sweeper. Gotta watch out for Jynx though.
5 cze 2021 · Goodra's high Sp. Def is capable to tank Diantha's Mega Gardevoir's Moonblast and finish her with Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave and gets good coverage moves like Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Sludge Bomb/Wave like I mentioned earlier.
20 wrz 2022 · Goodra is a strong Pokémon in 1v1, it's a Dragon-type that even intimidates many Fairy-types. Most prominent Fairy-types hit on the special side, so with its high Special Defense and Assault Vest, Goodra can handle many of them. From Assault Vest, it gains an incredible Special Defense increase which even allows it to bulk the likes of Naganadel.
