5 maj 2009 · 1. Make sure gun in unloaded and hammer is fully forward (if not, the hammer spring will have extra tension on the backstrap when you try to remove it) 2. Push pin out at the bottom rear of the magwell. 3. Pull the bottom of the backstrap out/backwards. 4. The grip panels then pop off the sides.

2 sty 2017 · The 469 was my first pistol. Solid, reliable, and I couldn't choke it if I tried loading in rocks. Didn't much mind the safety because it was also a decocker, and I would flip it right back off. The comments about the grip do explain why mine came with aftermarket ones.
27 maj 2024 · The 469 and 6904 are both compact double stack 9mm’s. It’s not janky or wonky. They fit perfectly and I prefer the rubber grips to the slippery plastic grips and back strap.
13 wrz 2019 · Welcome, The 469 is a compact, 12-shot 9mm pistol, with lightweight alloy frame and 3 1/2" barrel. A TAD serial number prefix should be 1984 production according to my SCSW. I suspect "Signature" on the grips may indicate aftermarket Pachmayr grips have been installed on the gun.
31 sty 2009 · Smith & Wesson 469: A Proven CCW. Here's a look at an oldie, but goodie - Smith & Wesson's 469. It's a compact double stack 9mm with a blued slide, alloy frame, and DA/SA with decocker/safety from the early 1980's.
The Model 469 is an early model in Smith & Wesson's 59-series, envisioned as pistols that could be easily concealed, but with sufficient firepower to work as service weapons as well. It is a traditional DA/SA pistol with a 3.5-inch barrel, equipped with a slide-mounted safety/decocker.
9 maj 2020 · I found some Uncle Mike's grips to replace the plastic as well. They do take the 5900 series 15 round mags and Mec-Gar makes some good aftermarket mags too. I found this 2nd gen just as bullet proof as every 3rd gen I have owned which is a bunch.
