If the Skystream is located at a good site without turbulence, the blades and generator will last for years. If you have a turbulent site, we recommend that you remove the turbine. The blades could fail and become a serious hazard.

21 sty 2008 · I have a neighbor at 3 miles that bought a Skystream 3.7 which is grid tie. I go by his location many times a week and today I pulled over for awhile to watch his turbine. The wind today was in the 5 to 12mph range with occasional 20mph gusts.
I have had my skystream for many years. I have replaced the brushes, and had to do the relay reset. But now it is acting funny. It will be working and then just stop and sit there in pretty good winds. Then the next day it may work again for a while, Any ideas? Thanks, Chuck
