With Steam's Big Picture controller configuration, you can rebind the PS4 controller touchpad to bring up radial menus or touch menus for commands like additional favorite hotkeys, quick journal/inventory/map/magic, or quicksave/load using the appropriate keyboard hotkeys.

If you have SKSE, download { {Auto Input Switch}}, it'll automatically switch between your controller and the keyboard. If you don't, { {hank's gamepad and controller fixes}} should also do the trick. Also, if you're not already, drop DS4 Windows and use Steam's controller support instead.
30 paź 2016 · This mod replaces the Xbox prompts when using any gamepad or DS4 to the game's Playstation 4 button prompts. Thankfully, Skyrim Special Edition comes with DS4 support in terms of functionality already! So you do not need to emulate an xbox controller.

All you need to do is enable the DS4 setting in Steam - Settings - Controller - General Controller Settings. This pretty much makes the DS4 the most versatile controller for PC gaming, as every control is mappable to ANYTHING, for EVERY single game. Even games without native controller support.
9 sty 2019 · I struggled also with this issue and found an interesting approach on reddit: add the mod manager as a non-steam game and launch it from Steam and finally launch SKSE64 from the mod manager. Thus, I achieved to use the PS5 controller with Skyrim SE!
