Although they start focused heavily on magic, switching them to a combat style is incredibly effective. This is somewhat harder to do at higher difficulties, due to Bretons' lower starting combat skills and the power of enemies on the Master difficulty.
In addition to Flames, Bretons start with the spell Conjure Familiar. Skills +10 Conjuration +5 Alchemy, Alteration, Illusion, Restoration, Speech; Gameplay . Bretons are particularly skilled in Conjuration, which means that they can summon creatures and weapons to aid them in battle.
Beginning stats don’t matter past level 10 really. A 5 (sometimes 10) skill level gap is nothing when you consider that it takes maybe 5 minutes to level any skill from 15 to 25.
4 gru 2021 · Bretons in Skyrim receive a +5 bonus to the restoration skill and have the Dragonskin ability that lets them absorb 50 percent of all magical damage. When you combine ward abilities like lesser ward and absorb ward with destruction skills, you get the Shield Mage build for Bretons in Skyrim.
