I got my Skyla IUD inserted 13 months ago, and in that time frame I have gained over 100 lbs. I just can't seem to lose weight, and the numbers on the scale just keep getting higher.
TLDR; I love my skyla, IUDs are an awesome choice as long as you know what to expect/what your priorities are in your birth control. I’ve had mine almost three years. Overall rating: 9/10, 100% recommend. About me: 22 year old grad student, never been pregnant, had been on the pill from 16-19.
I have Skyla and have had it now for over 2 years. I never had bad periods to begin with but I did notice I’m more bloated and crampy during my cycle now, but haven’t had any weight gain or emotional symptoms besides that.
