Due to the regulations in force at the time, the ŠKODA FABIA WRC – unlike its series-production counterpart – was powered by a turbocharged, water-cooled four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of two litres. Its output was 221 kW (300 hp), with a maximum torque of 600 Nm.
In the 2022 season, Rally2 cars will once again compete in the World Rally Championship in the WRC2 category, which is dedicated to these cars.
