Great place for beginner skiing. Weekday lift tickets are very affordable. Rentals are typically pretty quick. We got because its a short drive form CT. Fun few hours of skiing with a good brewery nearby. Not normally very crowded on the weekdays.

Butternut is a really nice little mountain for a weekday trip. Only $25 lift tickets and absolutely no crowds. My favorite trail is Freewheeler, serviced by a reliable, if a little slow, triple lift. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall a highly recommended pace! Erica L; Source: Yelp
The lifts are definitely not "express" but there were no lines and you can't beat the $20 midweek lift ticket prices. Snow was in great condition after a couple of inches fell on Monday. Runs were never crowded and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the older folks gather with friends and dine on their wine and cheese for lunch.
