Blackboard and Canvas are learning management systems that offer a variety of tools and services for students, faculty, and administrators to manage and enhance the learning experience.
SiS is UMass Lowell's student information system and is used for everything from registering for classes, paying your bill, or viewing your financial aid package.
One Blackboard. Access to Blackboard can be found on the Blackboard Portal. All classes are provided in one instance of Blackboard. There are two teams that support the Learning Management System: Graduate, Online & Professional Studies (GPS) for fully online, summer, winter intersession and graduate courses (hybrid, virtual, and in-person).
This line is for Blackboard or Canvas assistance for fall and spring undergraduate courses (hybrid, virtual, and in-person). GPS (Graduate, Online, & Professional Studies): email onlinelearning@uml.edu (answered during business hours) or call 800-480-3190 for 24-hour assistance.
