Launch the game to create a new Mods folder. Then download a fresh copy of one mod or custom content item, something that's confirmed to work with the newest patch, and test. If the game doesn't load, please post a screenshot of the error message you get.
the last few times I've downloaded CC, my game won't launch. it goes to launch and then the origin window just pops up again. it won't tell me which file is causing it to not work, and unfortunately taking individual files out isn't working.
5 cze 2023 · The GAME DIRECTORY can be changed by clicking SETTINGS. It must point to your The Sims game folder stored in Documents, but no further (ie The Sims 4\Mods is incorrect). By default, the CC Manager sets these paths automatically. Please don't attempt to change it unless you know the path is incorrect.
19 mar 2021 · The Mods folder can be found in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods (or The Sims 3). Back up a safe copy, then remove ALL package files and any folders not beginning with the letters "TSR". Also leave your resource.cfg installed. Everything else should be removed. Try your game.
8 lut 2024 · Open the app's settings: Click the '+' button, and then 'Manually add a game': Select the folder that contains the game's process (TS4_x64.exe). For example, if you installed the game via Steam you will need to select the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\
Removing the mods folder without deleting the localthumbcahche.package file from your The Sims 4 folder, also isn't enough of a test. It all has to be done together! Step 2. Replace CC in very small batches (say 5 files or less), starting with CC first.
3 maj 2020 · There are 2 CC file folders, both from the same source, that prevents Origin from opening the game. I've tried putting each file in separately, and they both prevent the game from starting. The game runs with all the other CC in my mods folder.
