I installed the sims 4 on my D drive where there is available space (This PC/New Volume(D:)/Program Files(x86)/Origin Games/Sims 4) but when I started the game it created a new Electronic Arts folder in my C drive (This PC/Local Disk C:)/Users/Shallon/Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4).
5 cze 2023 · The GAME DIRECTORY can be changed by clicking SETTINGS. It must point to your The Sims game folder stored in Documents, but no further (ie The Sims 4\Mods is incorrect). By default, the CC Manager sets these paths automatically. Please don't attempt to change it unless you know the path is incorrect.
20 wrz 2024 · The location for all mod and CC files is Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. This is the only place the game will see your mods or custom content. To create the Mods folder, start the game and then exit.
TSR CC manager automatically chose C:\Users\MyName\Documents\Origin Games\The Sims 4 but that's not the correct folder. I can tell because after I moved some of my WW mods from that directory into the other, they began to work.
5 cze 2023 · Mac OS: Library\Applications\TSR CC Manager. This is where the TSR CC Manager is installed. It cannot be changed but the app is a tiny file size so won't have any real impact on space. This folder stores the app's files needed to run and details about any settings and game paths you've set up.
5 cze 2023 · Try browsing for the correct paths yourself. Click SETTINGS. Click BROWSE FOR PATH. Look for the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and select this. Close and restart the CC Manager, then reinstall your content from the DOWNLOADS tab to the LIBRARY tab.

This means I can take folders out one at a time to test which makes troubleshooting bad CC much easier. New CC and Mods always go into a testing folder (with subfolders) called New CC.
