I then moved my Sims 4 folder to my desktop to see if I could reset it, and it lets me open the game, but none of the mods show up. I have mods/CC and script mods enabled but they still do not show up.
I downloaded the sims to an external hard drive and some cc and mods, but they're not showing up. I don't even get the pop-up at the start of the game about them. I've gone and reapplied the settings and restarted but that doesn't work.

29 sie 2024 · This is how you can fix The Sims 4 mods not showing up by creating a new folder. Open Windows File Explorer, and go to the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ directory path. Right-click the Mods folder within that directory and select Rename. Change the folder’s name to Mods old. The renamed Mods old folder.
If the modules don't show-up in the Scripts and Custom Content section, then the first thing to try would be to place all the MCCC mod files in the main mods folder and not in a sub-folder. If that fixes the issue, then the resources.cfg file in the mods folder is bad.
