If it doesn't have a deviceconfig, it's not being read by the game. So it's no wonder your mods aren't working either. You must have one somewhere though. In the left sidebar of a File Explorer window, click on This PC, then in the upper right corner of the window, type "deviceconfig" without quotes.

If that's not the issue, try downloading a fresh copy of the Resource.cfg file from here: https://www.nraas.net/community/How-To-Install#Blunote00s-Check-List Delete your current copy, and the cache files (again), and add the new copy to Mods, and see what happens.
20 kwi 2020 · That doesn't work—the game can't read the files. Move the first Mods folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and onto your desktop, open that Mods folder, and drag the Mods folder inside it into the Sims 3 folder. Be sure to delete your cache files again.
download files must be installed through the sims3 launcher, in 'downloads'. if the files aren't showing up in the launcher: make sure .zip files are unzipped, and .rar files are extracted into the downloads folder.
20 mar 2013 · If you don't, some of your custom content may not work! You must also get updates from the creator(s) for any hacks/mods before putting them in the Documents path shown below. 22 lut 2024 · The Steam folder contains your game files, but the mods folder belongs in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Your game should automatically create this folder every time it launches.
