They Are Legit. I used to work there as Customer Service. The parts are very good quality. and as long as you aren't a dick (or a complete numbskull), all the customer service reps will bend over backwards to help you out. Pro Tip from a former insider: look up AM Auto Parts.
The answer to your question: can't determine absolute quality until it is in your possession. Sometimes the part is OEM, exceeds OEM or is a knock off of adequate quality. For example: Some BMW aftermarket parts exceed OEM specs. The GMB part may be sourced from Moog. A contractor may source parts to everybody.
Why YSK: those complaints you made on BBB towards a business or company is not really going to go anywhere unless action is taken by the company itself. So when you call into customer service and try to leverage making a complaint on BBB, you’re not really creating a convincing argument for yourself.
Can anyone refer a reliable, non-shitty car parts website? I need a new window regulator (two, actually) for my good ol' Jetta. I was about to create an order from CarParts, but took to looking at reviews before I finished. Their reviews are horrendous.
I've been to RockAuto to browse parts for my cars and I've been a bit skeptical on how the parts are so cheap. They're usually around 50-75% cheaper at times than AutoZone or O'Reilly. Do the parts last and is there anything I should be careful about when buying from them and are there better parts supply stores or websites?
I've had a few wrong parts shipped and I've had several successful transactions. on a scale of 1-10, I give them a 6.5 I mostly use e-bay and google search, most of the time I find what I need just fine and in stock. carparts has decent options, but can be hit and miss on availability.
There is no (zero) quality assurance on drop shipped parts from Amazon. I’ve been aware of this for 5 years and haven’t spent a penny on Amazon for car parts.
