29 sty 2016 · The primary difference between the two guns is the grip. The P220 is single stack, with a thinner grip. The P227 is double stack, with a thicker grip. I held both guns, and picked the P227 because it felt better in my hand. You could substitute a P226 for the P227, and a 1911 for the P220, the grips feel much alike.

What were your impressions between the two? The 220 is a classic workhorse. I've shot the 227 but I would go with the 220 just because it has proven itself for many years.
