12 Monkeys is a hidden gem of a show. Practically nobody watched it. And yet, it somehow got a full run from start to finish of the story. Worth your time. Counterpart got two seasons, wraps up well enough despite cancellation. Not very dystopian, but there's elements of it. Mainly a sci-fi spy thriller.

I watched the Season 2 opener of falling skies last night & was actually rather impressed. The first 2 episodes felt almost like a pilot for a new show. IF they can keep this up for the next 8 episodes then this may become a good show! There where still a few issues w/the plot.

Anyone who values their time would. I think even stellar shows like x-Files and game of thrones or walking dead suffer some stagnation or staleness. Recently re-watched firefly, a 14 episode series even suffered some of that inland write it off wholesale. These shows serve a primary purpose of escapism and it does that for most people, imo.
