26 cze 2023 · As an attempt to solve the problem, I've unchecked both boxes to "Automatically hide the menu bar" on the desktop and in full-screen mode and restarted the computer. Still, the auto-hiding behavior continues. I use a 13" Macbook Air 2020 with macOS Monterey. All assistance is appreciated!

2 lis 2020 · Open a new finder window. From the menu bar, click on View. Click on Show Sidebar from the drop-down menu. This will bring back the sidebar menu as shown below. You can toggle back the Favorite list items if it is missing. That’s it. There is no need to go to the terminal or other commands.
9 mar 2022 · Recently I've noticed a weird issue with Finder when "Desktop" keeps disappearing from sidebar. I have to go to Preferences > Sidebar to re-enable "Desktop" but it will be unchecked and "Desktop" again to be missing after a few days.
