9 gru 2023 · Finder Preferences -> Sidebar The finder sidebar is missing a few items: the home directory, documents, music, pictures and movies. I go to: Finder Preferences -> Sidebar where I tick all the items. The finder sidebar stays the same, and if I leave the sidebar preferences and return, they're unticked again!

On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window. Do any of the following: Hide or show the sidebar: In the menu bar, choose View > Hide Sidebar, or View > Show Sidebar. (If Show Sidebar is dimmed, choose View > Show Toolbar.)
On your Mac, use Desktop & Dock settings to change the appearance of the Dock, and to choose settings for the desktop, Stage Manager, widgets, windows, and Mission Control. To change these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Desktop & Dock in the sidebar.
10 mar 2023 · I rebooted my Mac yesterday to discover that Sidebar (with all my favorite folders) is missing - as too is the 'Create New Folder' on the bottom. I've tried all the obvious options on the menus - without success. Of note, View>Show Sidebar option is grey so I can't select it! (iMac Ventura 13.2.1).
Pinning tiles to the desktop is the perfect implementation in my opinion. Now all they need to do is make it easier to show the desktop. I’ve set up a Command-D keyboard shortcut with BetterTouchTool.
