27 kwi 2011 · You might have better results using the GPO setting: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop. You have access to all the icons you're asking about. I usually do this to hide icons, but you should be able to "disable" hiding icons to make sure they show up.

When I change the Icons this way it has no effect to the icons in the dialogues(open file, save, ...). I found no code to change the "Computer" icon. How do I change this icon?
20 lip 2010 · Settings\USER\Desktop" It keeps on reverting back every time I edit the registry value. My desktop shows all icons from the root drive. So if i were to recycle them they would be deleted. However, when i click on the folders, they do not open. the files do. The correct setting would be %USERPROFILE%\Desktop. John
22 gru 2011 · Try using Tuneup utilities (demo or full) to solve the problem. It can be due to registry problem or the icons can be moved
