22 maj 2009 · The key is at. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\HideIcons. Set it to 1 to hide the icons, 0 to display them. You will have to log off and back on to see the changes.

20 maj 2010 · If Show Desktop icons is missing you need to change a registry key, so create a System Restore point first. Now open a Run window (Windows key+R), type regedit, press Enter and in the left pane navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

23 mar 2011 · Kill process > explorer.exe from task manager. Copy a clean and fresh copy of explorer.exe from a stable machine. Paste in : C:\WINDOWS\ Replace existing explorer.exe. 13 wrz 2019 · How to display desktop icons in Windows. Recycle Bin is checked by default. Computer, User’s Files (which opens your C:\users folder), and control panel are what need to be on the desktop for all users.
27 kwi 2011 · You might have better results using the GPO setting: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop. You have access to all the icons you're asking about. I usually do this to hide icons, but you should be able to "disable" hiding icons to make sure they show up.
