Scale Notations. Model scales are denoted either as a ratio (e.g. 1:96) or in units per foot (e.g. 1/8"=1'), or sometimes both. These two notations are equivalent but approach the idea of scale from different perspectives.
5 cze 2024 · Is there a quick method you guys and gals use when scratch building an item to figure out the size? I use a scale calculator online right now. Down side to do that is I need to find my phone, open the web etc. I’m fairly good with math but for some reason this scale thing gets twisted in my head....
7 mar 2024 · It’s easy to calculate the normal sizes for scale models if you know the models’ sizes. A model at a 1:24 scale and is 5” long will be 120” long in its normal size. You can find the whole process for calculating scale earlier in this article, or you can simply use a scale calculator to do the math for you.
