Securely tighten the caliper brake mounting nuts to the specified tightening torque. For sunken nut type brakes, use sunken nuts of the appropriate length which can be turned six times or more; when re-installing, apply sealant (locking adhesive) to the nut threads.
• The cable adjustment nut and the quick release lever are not equipped on BR-R9110-R/R8010-R/R7010-R; be sure to use SM-CB90 (cable adjuster). When the brake shoes are worn down, it becomes impossible to adjust the shoe clearance by hand. • Securely tighten the caliper brake mounting nuts to the specified tightening torque.
• Insert the head of the brake cable into the hole in the lever. • Insert the cable into the slots in the jam nut and adjusting barrel. • Thread the adjusting barrel all the way into the lever.
