26 maj 2023 · All current gen Shimano use the same pistons in the calipers. The saints have a stiffer caliper that weighs more. It handles more heat and flexes less. Leverage ratio of SLX, XT, XTR are all the same. Saint uses a slightly more aggressive leverage ratio that provides more clamping with the same lever force. This is a very small difference.
20 lis 2022 · Saint brakes use Shimano's old style lever perch. XTs (as well as every other 4-pot brake in Shimano's line) employ Shimano's newer style perch. I am under the impression that lever internals are the same from one brake to another.

14 sie 2016 · I've heard that Shimano has released new "batches" of XT M8000 brakes to address issues with inconsistency. Is this true? If I were to buy XT M8000s from JensonUSA, CRC, or Amazon for example, would the brakes work properly?
23 kwi 2024 · The Shimano XT brake on test. On the trail, the Shimano XT ensures powerful deceleration and has the same snappy on-off feel which is typical of Shimano brakes – it’s much more direct than other brakes from brands like Hope, Trickstuff and Hayes, for example.
