3 maj 2013 · I have a old bantam curado 200, and it is having some issues. It makes a loud screech noise when i cast it and it is not very smooth on the retrieve. The Facts: The Shimano Curado features an all aluminum frame and VBS centrifugal braking system. The reel also comes equipped with quick-release turnkey spool access, Super Stopper anti-reverse, aluminum spool, power handle, QuickFire II clutch bar and friction cast control.

23 lis 2016 · For Curado's, I haven't been impressed since the E series. A lot of guys don't mind the I's and the new 70's. You can't go wrong with a 50e. Both are super good reels. The Curado I just so edged out the Tatula Type R in my opinion, but they were both so close you'll be super happy with either.
Impressions: The Shimano Curado has been a top selling bait casting reel in the U.S. in the year 2000. This year Shimano wanted to expand the appeal of this reel by adding their patented SF (Super Free) technology.
I'll reply by saying that I have a bunch of shimano sahara's that I love, and a couple cardiff 400a which I like fine, and I've owned 2 curados....a 3.8:1 I used as a crankbait reel that had its brake die after 1 year...and a bantam curado 6.3:1 whose brake died after a year and a half.
21 sty 2012 · I've the same reels and when they need serviced they will do the same thing. Rain, grit and just use wears the lube off. There are several good sights that explain taking the reels down and servicing them. I do it every winter now. Takes about an hour per reel.
