23 wrz 2024 · A major positive of Shimano CUES is it's compatibility across groupsets, and it's designed for cyclists to mix and match components. CUES 9, 10 and 11-speed groupsets are cross-compatible, and shifters, derailleurs, cassettes and chains can be used together across different bike setups.

28 lut 2023 · CUES, or Create Unique Experiences, is Shimano’s answer to an all-new mid-tier lineup that’s set to replace multiple existing groups. Gone are the Alivio, Acera, Altus, and the 10- and 11-speed Deore groups, with Shimano CUES rising up to take their place. (Shimano notes it is not cutting support for legacy groups.)
I just saw that Shimano CUES is going to be replacing the lower end group sets from Altus to Deore as well as Sora to Tiagra with a focus on allowing compatibility with components between the ranges. As a long time Shimano Alivio/Sora/Altus user this intrigued me quite a bit.
